This program was created to help to find out which Everquest items are best compared to
other items of the same nature. This is a program that you might not need but it is completely
free so you might just try it out to see if you like it. The idea started when I read the
Druid Grove Message Board. Someone (unfortunately I don't remember the name) posted a rating
system for Druid items. I didn't agree with the way he rated but the basic idea seemed to work
just fine. So I sat down and worked on a system for all classes in Everquest. I hope you
like the way it works and if not you have all the options to change the system around.
So the EQ Item Calculator Ver.1.0 is finished now and I will need your help to find all
those little bugs no programmer is protected from. If you find a bug or have ideas
how to improve the program please email admin@agisb.com.
Download Current Version Here (Last Updated: 1/30/2000 2.32MB Ver.1.0) I have a pretty big item database but it is not complete. I will post item updates frequently. Installation Instructions 1. Download eqcalculator.exe 2. Start eqcalculator.exe and extract the setup files into a directory of your choice. 3. Change to the extraction directory and copy file vb40032.dll to c:/windows/system 4. Start setup.exe 5. Follow the instructions of the Setup program You will be able to find out what item is the best for what slot to wear for what class. You can add new items and you are able to print out the slot lists and a complete item list for your class and race combo. Version 1.0 has no weapons included but that will follow in the next version. |
| This is the formula window. You will be able to change those numbers around to reflect your individual play style and Level. Examples for that might be the numbers for INT or WIS and Mana. The standart numbers reflect the same amount of points for INT or WIS and Mana at Level 50. In lower levels WIS and INT give less Mana and might need a lower number. Please note that I haven't played all classes so numbers might be off a little here and there. You also might take off the penalties for Lore, No Drop etc.. I felt that when I only be able to use one of that item or I cannot sell it it is less good than an equal item that isn't Lore or No Drop. No Rent is in there just if you feel the need to compare items that will poof when you log. You might also disagree on how much Weight should be a factor so you can change this also. |

I hope you enjoy this program. I was surprised what items showed up as the best and after
I thought about the choices I agreed with the program. The problem is that
e.g. a Druid might be fixated on WIS and overlooks that there might be a Mana item that gives more
Mana than the number of WIS you improve with another. Please just take this program as what it is:
Just a simple tool to help you decide and not something you have to follow at all costs. Individual
play style and appearance might also be goals to aim for. If you are playing on Cazic-Thule look me up and let me know if you like the program.
